A Buzzworthy Collaboration with the Royal Entomological Society!

Hey lovely Seedballers! Ana here with thrilling news from the heart of wildflower wonderland! Seedball is buzzing with excitement as we join forces with the Royal Entomological Society (RES) in a special collaboration to bring you a trio of special seedball boxes, celebrating the unsung heroes of our gardens. And guess what? Every set you grab not only adds wild beauty to your space but also supports the fantastic work of RES. For every set sold Seedball is contributing 90p to RES to help the advance insect science!

Our three matchboxes are adorned with insect photo’s from RES’s 2022 Photography competition. This range really is like a mini art gallery that fits right in your hands! Inside each box you’ll find a curated mix of seeds aimed at bringing your garden to life.

Meet the Mixes

Seedball Royal Entomological Society Range

Meadow Mix: A blend of wildflowers and grasses  perfect for hosting grasshoppers, lacewings and beetles. Oxeye Daisy, Common Knapweed, Yellow Oat-grass, Lady’s Bedstraw, and Cat Grass are the stars of this floral fiesta.

Pollinators Mix: Time to create a pollinator paradise for our lesser known pollinators such as day flying moths like the Hummingbird Hawk Moth. Viper’s Bugloss, Hedge Bedstraw, Red Campion, Yarrow, Cornflower, and Corn Marigold are the flowers you’ll find here.

Damp Soil Mix: Specially crafted for wetland habitats, this mix does well in damp spots and pond edges! With purple loosestrife, Hedge bedstraw, Lesser Knapweed, Meadow Buttercup, Oxeye Daisy, and Ragged Robin.

We're over the moon!

At Seedball we are on a mission to turn every garden into a wildlife haven. We want to celebrate with you the small wonders – like beetles, lacewings and day flying moths – that often go unnoticed. Teaming up with the Royal Entomological Society for us is a dream come true!

Anne Weingold, Business Development & Fund-raising Manager at the REs, shares our excitement: “Together, we can encourage plants that will specifically attract beneficial insects to gardens, balconies and patios across the UK. As well as helping garden biodiversity, the race will raise much -needed funds to support our work”.

So if, like us, you are passionate about wildflowers and wildlife, this Seedball and Royal Entomological Society collaboration is your ticket to a a garden bustling with life and colour, whilst actively supporting the work of a wonderful organisation. Get ready this Spring to sow the seeds of positive change and celebrate the magic of invertebrates with Seedball and the Royal Entomological Society!
